Volt is immediately hiring for a Laboratory Production Technician in North Kingstown, RI 02852.

As a Laboratory Production Technician, you will:

  • Perform bulk filling, dispensing, transferring, and packaging of chemical products.
  • Verify materials, lot numbers, labels, quantities, and expiration dates for product traceability.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor automated, robotic, and packaging equipment.
  • Package and label products according to established specifications.
  • Complete batch records, production documentation, and inventory transactions accurately.
  • Conduct visual inspections and report quality concerns, spills, deviations, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory and production areas.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, containers, and work surfaces.
  • Handle and dispose of chemical waste according to safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Follow chemical hygiene, PPE, hazard communication, and spill-response procedures.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Support inventory control, cycle counts, material staging, and supply replenishment.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Warehouse, Laboratory, and EHS teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.

This is a full time, contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills:

  • Chemical handling experience
  • Experience operating automated or robotic manufacturing equipment
  • Kit packaging and ampoule assembly experience
  • Familiarity with production filling, packaging, or manufacturing operations
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing, production filling, packaging, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, batch record documentation, and chemical waste handling procedures
  • Experience using ERP, production tracking, or inventory management systems
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and safety protocols

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.54 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
