Job Description
Make an impact working with students as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing direct, in-person services on a part-time contract basis. This opportunity is close to Torrance, CA and focuses on helping students communicate and achieve their academic goals in a supportive school environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid CA SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Prior experience delivering speech and language therapy in schools
- Thorough understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and implementation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Passion for supporting diverse learners in educational settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, in-person SLP services to students in accordance with their IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to IEP goal development
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Employ evidence-based practices and interventions tailored to each student’s needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff in-services, and ongoing professional development as required
