Join a dynamic fabrication team as a Welder, using MIG welding techniques to assemble steel components according to detailed blueprints and drawings. You will apply your welding expertise to produce high‑quality, structurally sound parts while interpreting technical documents to meet precise specifications and production standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components in accordance with specifications provided in blueprints and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements, including weld size, placement, and sequence.
- Set up welding equipment and prepare materials to ensure clean, accurate, and structurally sound welds.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications, making adjustments as needed.
- Work efficiently to meet production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and workmanship.
- Collaborate with team members in the welding and fabrication areas to coordinate work and support overall project timelines.
- Participate in daily team meetings in the office space to review priorities, clarify requirements, and align on project objectives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop guidelines and safety procedures.
- Use company-provided eye protection and appropriate personal protective equipment while performing all welding tasks.
Essential Skills
- 1.5 to 3 years of MIG welding experience with steel components.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques, including setup, operation, and adjustment of MIG welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure weld quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications.
- Capability to work with minimal training and quickly adapt to established processes and standards.
- Reliability in meeting production expectations while maintaining safety and quality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a job shop or fabrication environment with multiple production areas.
- Comfort working in a team-oriented setting with daily meetings and shared project goals.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time effectively across different tasks.
- Willingness to bring personal welding hood and gloves for testing and ongoing work if required.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
