Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license for the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience in a school environment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students presenting a range of speech and language needs, including general education and students on the autism spectrum
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Duties:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a school-based setting
- Develop individualized intervention plans for each student, targeting identified needs
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents to support student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide direct therapy to students and consultative support to classroom staff
- Travel to a single school per day—no bouncing between sites; all schools are in close proximity
