Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist supporting preschool students in a caring, collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity offers a flexible workload of 20–25 hours per week between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM and serves a caseload of 10 students (with a maximum of 20) in a supportive setting. The school provides an onsite, non-certified substitute to assist with hands-on student support, freeing you to focus on instruction and special education leadership. Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Intervention Specialist license required
- Experience in early childhood or preschool special education preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and early intervention strategies
- Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Skilled in adapting curriculum to meet diverse student needs
- Comfortable working collaboratively with families, classroom staff, and support personnel
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
- Virtual or remote service delivery experience is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction according to each child’s IEP
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
- Manage caseload documentation and ensure compliance with timelines and legal requirements
- Utilize the onsite substitute resource for hands-on classroom support as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
