Step into an impactful role working with students in a center-based program designed for learners with moderate to severe disabilities, spanning from kindergarten through age 26. This full-time contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week on-site and runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027. Bring your expertise in physical therapy to a supportive, collaborative educational environment as you advance student mobility, functional skills, and overall participation in school activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Michigan Physical Therapy license required (please submit a screenshot of licensure with your application).
  • Previous school-based physical therapy experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working exclusively onsite in a school setting.
  • Adaptable and responsive to the dynamic needs of K–26 age students within a center-based program.
  • Please note: No PTA candidates at this time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized PT interventions for students in accordance with their IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective service delivery and optimal student outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to both school policies and state regulations.
  • Support the development of staff and parent understanding regarding physical needs and adaptive strategies.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and help drive program success for students with significant disabilities.
