Mail Order Pharmacist in Charge in Absecon, NJ

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to take on a hands-on leadership role in pharmacy operations. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced pharmacist who thrives in a working PIC capacity, managing dispensing, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic mail-order setting. The position supports expanding national coverage, with a strong preference for candidates licensed on the West Coast in addition to AZ or NJ.

Location Options:

• Gilbert, AZ
• West Egg Township / Galloway, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide thorough patient counseling.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and ensure adherence to SOPs, USP <795>/<800> standards, and FDA 503A regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances and all necessary documentation.
• Address patient inquiries with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Maintain regulatory compliance across serviced states, ensuring high-quality operational standards.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in AZ or NJ (location dependent).
• 3–5 years of total pharmacy experience.
• Prior experience in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings preferred.
• Comfort and proven ability functioning as a working PIC.
• In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing 503A compounding facilities.
• Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is highly desirable.
• PioneerRx experience is a plus, though training is provided.
• Local candidates preferred; relocation not currently available.
• Additional licensure from CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, or CO is highly advantageous for national expansion.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage as the pharmacy grows
