School Psychologist | Mystic, Connecticut

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, serving PreK-8th grade students in a supportive educational environment. This role, based near Mystic, CT, runs from August 26th through June 10th and offers a consistent weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 9AM-3PM, totaling 30 hours each week. You'll play a vital part in promoting student wellness, supporting academic achievement, and fostering positive school climates.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience providing psychological services within a school setting, especially with PreK-8th grade
• Expertise in counseling, conducting assessments, and writing IEPs
• Strong understanding of MTSS, RTI, and special education processes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students, focusing on emotional, behavioral, and academic needs
• Administer psychological assessments and interpret results to support eligibility and planning for IEPs
• Participate in the development, writing, and review of IEPs, ensuring legal compliance and individualized student support
• Consult with staff and families to develop strategies for student success both in and out of the classroom
• Maintain thorough and accurate records in accordance with district and federal guidelines
• Contribute to MTSS and RTI initiatives to promote inclusive learning environments
