Primary Purpose:
Serves as instructional teaching assistant to a regular education classroom.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist teacher in one-to-one or small group instruction.
- Assist in maintenance of structured classroom routine
- Perform program-related data-keeping tasks
- Operate duplicating, laminating, and audio-visual equipment
- Assist teacher in providing a behavior management program which emphasizes positive reinforcement
- Assist with extracurricular activities and similar events
- Help keep classroom orderly and attractive
- Decorate bulletin boards
- Other duties as assigned by the teacher, lead teacher, and/or principal
