Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based role focused on fostering communication and language skills in middle school students. This contract opportunity is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) interested in working with grades 5 through 7. Full-time availability is preferred, but candidates who can provide at least 20 hours per week are encouraged to apply.
Collaborate with a supportive educational team while making a significant impact on students during a crucial stage of their development. Caseload numbers are currently being finalized, ensuring a manageable workload tailored to professional best practices. While the main focus is on SLPs, interest in SLPA candidates is welcomed pending completion of direct hire requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in Massachusetts (or in process)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) holders considered
- Prior experience in a middle-school setting or with pediatric populations is a plus
- Comfortable working onsite within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students grades 5–7
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate students’ communication success
- Maintain accurate records of therapy, progress, and required documentation
- Provide direct therapy services according to best practices and school guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and professional development activities
