Job Description
A growing structural engineering team is seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager to join its Austin, TX office in a full-time, direct hire role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer or Project Manager who is ready to serve as Engineer of Record on larger, more complex projects while helping guide technical quality, client relationships, and team development.
This role offers strong visibility with senior leadership, including direct collaboration with the Vice President of Structural Engineering. The environment is ideal for a licensed P.E. who wants a clear path toward department leadership, greater influence over engineering standards, and the opportunity to mentor developing engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Engineer of Record for large and complex structural engineering projects from concept through construction.
- Lead structural design, analysis, documentation, calculations, specifications, technical reports, and construction administration.
- Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and coordination with architectural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
- Own and support QA/QC processes to ensure accurate construction documents and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Develop client relationships, contribute to proposals and project pursuits, and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Mentor engineers and junior staff while helping improve department processes, standards, and best practices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation for P.E. candidates: $120,000 to $150,000 annually.
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- Profit sharing.
- Strong EIT candidates close to obtaining P.E. licensure may be considered, with a target range of approximately $105,000 to $135,000.
- Full-time, direct hire position.
- Based in Austin, TX.
