Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure for the state of Oklahoma
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Demonstrated experience working as an OT within schools or pediatric settings
- Strong understanding of IEPs, 504 Plans, and relevant regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to efficiently manage a caseload and complete required documentation
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to support academic success and independence
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to ensure continuity of care and progress toward goals
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as a valued team member
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reports in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Stay current with best practices in school-based OT—and participate in ongoing professional development
