Occupational Therapist School Setting - Abbeville, SC

Step into a dynamic school-based setting working as an Occupational Therapist starting this November. In this rewarding contract opportunity, you’ll begin with a schedule of three days per week, transitioning to four days weekly come January. This role follows an itinerant service delivery model and incorporates COTA supervision, providing a blend of direct intervention and professional collaboration.

Your expertise will support the development of fine motor, sensory integration, and adaptive skills among students, shaping positive educational experiences. As you travel between sites in the district, you’ll enjoy variety in your daily routine while making meaningful impacts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license for the state
• Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience preferred
• Familiarity with educational therapy documentation and IEPs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience supervising COTAs (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants) is a plus
• Ability to travel as needed between locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver assessments and evidence-based interventions to students across campuses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
• Supervise and mentor COTAs, ensuring best practices and compliance
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes
• Support transition planning and generalization of skills across settings
