We are seeking dedicated educators with expertise in special education to fill two contract openings supporting students in elementary and junior/senior high autism support classrooms. This dynamic role offers the chance to make a real difference as you collaborate with colleagues, students, and families to foster meaningful progress for learners with autism.
Available schedules run Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 45-minute lunch break to recharge midday. You'll have consistency in your daily routine while helping children and adolescents develop skills for lifelong success.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience, or strong interest, in working with students with autism
- Passion for building inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments
- Strong communication, collaboration, and behavior management skills
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse student needs
- For the Jr/Sr High role, experience with older students is a plus
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver evidence-based instruction to students in either elementary or Jr/Sr high autism support programs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Communicate effectively with parents, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in a positive classroom climate
- Participate in team meetings and professional development
