Inpatient Pharmacy Technician IV Certified | Waunakee, Wisconsin

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A well-established inpatient hospital pharmacy is seeking three Pharmacy Technicians with IV certification to support their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced inpatient setting, ensuring precise and timely medication preparation and distribution within a leading children’s hospital environment.

Location: Waunakee, WI

Contract Duration: 13 weeks with a possibility to extend to 26 weeks
Start Date: 9/14

Shift: To be determined according to operational needs

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications accurately for inpatient care under the supervision of pharmacists
• Ensure sterile preparation of IV medications in compliance with hospital standards and safety guidelines
• Assist in medication inventory management and restocking processes within the inpatient pharmacy unit
• Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare staff to support patient care and medication safety
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to uphold regulatory and safety standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician with valid IV certification
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting, preferably pediatric or children’s hospital experience
• Proficiency in preparing intravenous medications and sterile compounding
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
