Electrical Controls Engineer

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Electrical Controls Engineer II to join a leading-edge technology and manufacturing team in Carrollton, GA. This is a fully onsite role with about 10% travel.

Summary:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Manager of Engineering to keep production moving, efficient, and constantly evolving. Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions in machine control systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system malfunctions; recommend improvements
• Develop or modify PLC/HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded control systems (Siemens/Rockwell preferred)
• Participate in commissioning and system upgrades
• Work with AC/DC circuitry, field control devices, and control panels
• Design, develop, maintain, and modify instrumentation and control systems
• Competency in Electrical CAD; work independently or as part of a team

Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
2. 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing
3. PLC/HMI programming and AutoCAD schematic/panel experience
4. Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
1. PMP certification
2. Prior experience in wire & cable manufacturing
