Quality Technician
Job Description
This role focuses on ensuring that products and packaging consistently meet established quality and food safety standards in a manufacturing environment. You will inspect items during production, document quality checks, and collaborate with production teams to quickly resolve any quality concerns.
Responsibilities- Inspect products and packaging during production to verify they meet defined quality and safety standards
- Record and document all quality checks accurately in the appropriate systems and logs
- Identify, investigate, and report quality issues in a timely and clear manner
- Ensure products meet internal company standards and regulatory requirements
- Follow established food safety, GMP, and quality procedures at all times
- Use ATP swabs, EMP testing, and other inspection tools and methods as required
- Support and follow FDA-related quality control guidelines and documentation practices
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence
- Maintain organized and complete records and documentation related to quality inspections
- Consistently follow instructions and standard operating procedures to maintain compliance
- Previous experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and reviewing documentation
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation of quality checks
- Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality-related calculations
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift in a production environment
- Knowledge of quality control and inspection practices
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Familiarity with food safety principles and procedures
- Ability to work effectively with production teams to address quality issues
- Experience working in a food manufacturing or packaging environment
- Exposure to FDA-regulated production settings
- Experience using ATP swabs and environmental monitoring programs (EMP) for sanitation verification
- Comfort with completing and maintaining quality records and documentation
- Background or training related to quality assurance or food safety

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a cold production environment where adherence to food safety and quality procedures is essential. You will spend most of the shift standing and walking on the production floor, performing inspections and documentation. Appropriate attire for a cold facility and compliance with all safety and hygiene requirements are expected.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
