A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to work one day per week, offering vital assistance to a Speech-Language Pathologist in a small district near Santa Clara, CA. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in California
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take direction and work closely with supervising SLP
- Organized, reliable, and committed to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the SLP with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Assist in conducting speech and language activities under SLP guidance
- Help create materials and organize resources for therapy sessions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as directed
- Foster a positive and encouraging environment for students receiving services
- Participate in team meetings as needed and communicate updates to SLP
