Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract role making a difference in the lives of early learners as an Occupational Therapist. This onsite opportunity focuses on supporting Pre-K and early childhood students, working closely with dedicated teams in the Huntingtown area and surrounding communities. You'll be instrumental in providing essential therapy services from now through July 30, 2027, with a likely extension available for the Extended School Year (ESY) in July.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in Maryland
- Background in providing OT services within school settings, especially with early childhood and Pre-K students
- Proficiency in evaluating and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, administrators, and families
- Effective communication and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to Pre-K and early childhood students, helping them reach their fullest potential
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plan (IEP) goals and progress
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to tailor interventions for classroom success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student programming
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Engage families in the therapeutic process, supporting carryover of strategies at home
