Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Newark, NJ
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a hospital setting starting September 8th. This role offers a dedicated 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift and is ideal for professionals ready to travel, as candidates must be located at least 50 miles outside of Newark, NJ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inpatient pharmacy operations to ensure accurate and timely medication distribution
- Utilize electronic medical records with proficiency in EPIC to document patient information and dispensing activities
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety protocols
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with relevant credentials
- Familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy systems and workflows
- Comfortable working independently and in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Location:
- Newark, NJ (travel required; no local candidates within 50 miles)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
