Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in King George, VA. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support elementary students in an Adaptive Curriculum setting while working alongside a collaborative educational team focused on student growth, independence, and success.

Qualifications:
Active Virginia Special Education Adaptive Curriculum Certificate required
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Virginia state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Implement appropriate academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
