Term: ASAP Start – May 21, 2027 (Full School Year)
Schedule: Part-Time | Monday – Friday | 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM daily

We are hiring an Educational Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) for a daily afternoon position at a high school in Burlington, Illinois. This is an ideal contract position for an interpreter seeking steady, short daily hours through the end of May 2027.

Key Responsibilities
Provide educational sign language interpreting (ASL/PSE) for a high school student during afternoon classes and activities.
Facilitate clear, accurate communication between the student, teachers, and peers.
Support classroom participation, comprehension, and student independence.
Collaborate with special education staff and the Deaf/Hard of Hearing team as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Educational Interpreting, Sign Language, or related field.
Credentials: Active ISBE Educational Interpreter Approval or Illinois IDHHC License.
Skills: EIPA score of 3.5+ or RID certification strongly preferred.
