Job Description
Embark on your next contract assignment as a school-based Occupational Therapist providing direct, in-person services to students in the greater Long Beach area. This part-time opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in educational settings and have experience supporting students’ developmental and academic goals through tailored interventions.
Qualified candidates will leverage their expertise to collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to ensure students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) are implemented effectively. This position calls for enthusiasm, flexibility, and the desire to make a meaningful impact on students’ daily lives.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience delivering OT services within a school setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with IEPs
- Ability to provide direct, in-person therapy for students
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions onsite to support students’ development and participation in school activities
- Provide input during IEP meetings and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, aides, and other therapists to create cohesive support strategies
- Communicate progress and recommendations to staff and families
