What’s a typical day as Extrusion Blow Molding Tech? You’ll be:
  • Setting up and starting up various extrusion blow molding machines according to production schedules
  • Installing and removing molds, ensuring proper alignment and connections
  • Adjusting machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time for optimal performance
  • Performing first-piece inspections to verify product quality
  • Troubleshooting molding and process issues to minimize downtime
  • Monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments during production
  • Conducting routine maintenance on molds and equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures
  • Maintaining accurate production and setup documentation
  • Collaborating closely with quality, maintenance, and production teams
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
  • Possess experience with molding machines and tooling
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Have knowledge of plastics materials and processing techniques
  • Have 2+ years of molding setup or processing experience (preferred)
  • Are familiar with robotics and automation systems (preferred)
  • Hold a basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems (preferred)
