Prior experience as an insurance adjuster

Strong proficiency in Xactimate (writing and supplementing)

Proven ability to negotiate claims with carriers

Deep understanding of residential construction and restoration scope

Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Ability to manage 10-15 claims and deadlines simultaneously

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working for a restoration, reconstruction, roofing, or disaster recovery company

Experience managing customer relationships from inspection through project completion

Adjuster certifications or licensing

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Estimator & Negotiator for one of our restoration and reconstruction clients, located in Charlotte, NC. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact between homeowners and insurance adjusters throughout the restoration process. The ideal candidate will have experience creating residential restoration estimates, inspecting property damage, and negotiating claim scopes with insurance carriers to ensure accurate and fair settlements.

This person will be the face of the company in the field and will manage multiple projects simultaneously from initial damage assessment through claim resolution. Success in this role requires strong Xactimate expertise, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. The right candidate enjoys building relationships, advocating for customers, and working independently in a fast-paced environment.
