Job Title: Part-Time Office Administrator / Receptionist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and tech-savvy Office Administrator / Receptionist to support daily office operations in our Cambridge, MA location. This part-time position, offering 20 hours per week, is ideal for an early-career professional looking to gain experience in office administration, HR support, and workplace operations within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors and assist with reception duties.
  • Coordinate daily company lunches using DoorDash and other food-ordering platforms.
  • Ensure lunch deliveries are received and organized for employees.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and employee orientation activities.
  • Provide administrative support for basic HR-related functions and employee record management.
  • Manage office supplies and assist with general office organization.
  • Support scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting preparation as needed.
  • Handle incoming mail, packages, and vendor deliveries.
  • Assist with data entry, document management, and other clerical tasks.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative projects and special assignments as requested.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other workplace technology.

Work Environment

This role is 100% on-site in Cambridge, MA. The work schedule is part-time, typically from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 20 hours per week. Parking is not compensated, so candidates must be able to get on-site each day. This position offers a great opportunity to work for a growing startup company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
