Location: Cerritos, CA (Travel Required)
Travel locations: Glendale, Long Beach, Fountain Valley, and Whittier
Duration: 9-Month Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30-$40/hour (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Travel Clinical Research Coordinator (Oncology) to join a growing oncology
research program in Southern California. This role offers the opportunity to support approximately 45 active oncology clinical trials while working
closely with patients, investigators, sponsors, and a multidisciplinary research team.
The position is based in Cerritos, CA and requires travel to clinical sites in Glendale, Long Beach, Fountain Valley, and Whittier. After initial training in Cerritos, the primary assignment will support the Glendale location, with additional coverage at other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen, recruit, and obtain informed consent from patients participating in oncology clinical trials.
- Coordinate and manage patient study visits, averaging 2-3 patients per day.
- Perform patient assessments including:
- Vital signs
- Phlebotomy
- ECG/EKG procedures
- Conduct chart reviews to identify eligible patients and verify clinical information.
- Maintain accurate study documentation and ensure protocol compliance.
- Enter study data and resolve queries within Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
- Assist with regulatory documentation and compliance activities.
- Coordinate visit logistics across multiple clinical sites.
- Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, Research Assistants, Data Management, and Regulatory teams.
- Communicate effectively with CROs and study sponsors as needed.
- Ensure patient safety, data integrity, and adherence to study protocols and GCP guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Research Coordinator experience in oncology clinical trials.
- Experience screening, recruiting, and consenting patients.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Vital signs
- Phlebotomy
- ECGs/EKGs
- Patient study visits
- Strong understanding of oncology clinical research operations and protocol execution.
- Experience reviewing medical records and assessing patient eligibility.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between Southern California clinical sites.
- Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
- Experience working with CROs and study sponsors.
- Familiarity with regulatory processes and clinical research compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a multi-site research environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
