Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract-based role supporting the communication needs of young learners in a dynamic educational environment. This position focuses on serving PreK and Kindergarten students, providing speech-language pathology expertise to help them achieve their developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Michigan SLP license (please provide a screenshot during the application process)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based settings, ideally with early childhood or elementary populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to work a schedule with more onsite days; no full-remote options available at present
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students, crafting individualized treatment plans
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress
- Consult regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to coordinate support strategies
- Contribute creatively to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and meetings
- Stay informed about the latest best practices and compliance requirements in school-based SLP services
- Remain adaptable with assignment details as placements will be determined prior to the semester start
This contract runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with flexibility for full-time, part-time, or hybrid arrangements (hybrid includes more onsite days as fully remote work is not available).
