Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the school setting, located just 30 miles west of Houston. Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license in the state of Texas
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Confidence collaborating with Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and educational teams
- Adaptability to manage caseloads and alternating service delivery models
- Familiarity with IEP documentation, assessments, and progress reporting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services under SLP supervision
- Support students with articulation, receptive/expressive language, and social communication needs
- Contribute to IEP development and implement individualized goals
- Collect data and prepare progress notes for review by supervising SLPs
- Participate in team meetings and maintain effective professional relationships with staff and families
- Help facilitate classroom carryover of speech and language strategies
