Travel Inpatient Pharmacist in Newark, NJ

This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a well-established hospital facility. Responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care in a busy hospital inpatient setting, this role requires familiarity with patient medication management and effective collaboration within the healthcare team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8

Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Review patient medication regimens and monitor for drug interactions or contraindications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient therapy.
• Utilize Epic EMR system for prescription order entry and documentation.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards related to pharmacy practice.
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use as required.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficient in using Epic EMR for medication management.
• Licensed pharmacist eligible to practice in the state of New Jersey.
• First-time travelers encouraged to apply; applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius from Newark, NJ.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and clinical judgment skills.
