Position Title: Desktop Support

Duration: 12+ Months

Location: Rochester, MN 55902

Job Description

• We are seeking a Workstation Technician and Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in desktop and PC updates, inventory support, and safe transport and delivery operations and a proven ability to execute timely deliveries, transport staff between sites, and resolve issues with sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient pickup and delivery of parts and equipment across Rochester campuses and surrounding communities.
• Transport departmental staff between buildings for Mayo-related business with a focus on safety and punctuality.
• Assist with parts inventory, sorting, and related logistics when not driving.
• Perform PC/desktop updates and basic workstation support tasks as assigned.
• Monitor the condition of the Equipment Services van and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Respond quickly to urgent delivery and transportation requests while exercising good judgment.
• Interact politely and professionally with vendors and staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license or equivalent from another state.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and manage physical delivery tasks safely.
• Basic computer experience with ability to perform PC/desktop updates.
• Strong communication and telephone skills with professional customer service.
• Proven ability to make sound decisions when presented with conflicting information and to work independently without direct supervision.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in inventory control or logistics within a healthcare or enterprise environment.
• Prior workstation or desktop support experience in a multi-site setting.

Role Details

• Main responsibility will be deliveries and transporting staff and parts. Schedule: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
