Step into an engaging role focused on making a meaningful impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a PreK environment catering to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This full-time, contract opportunity near Somerville, MA, offers you the chance to work closely with a small group of 6-8 children, supporting their growth and unlocking their communication potential.

Schedule:Staff hours are from 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, with direct student time between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm, fostering a manageable and productive daily routine.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed SLP, eligible to practice in a school setting
  • Strong background in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology
  • Demonstrated experience supporting young children, preferably within ASD populations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both with students and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive preschool classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and create individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to preschoolers on the autism spectrum
  • Deliver targeted therapy to enhance speech, language, and social communication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate speech strategies in classroom activities
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of progress and interventions
  • Liaise with families to provide guidance on promoting communication skills at home
