School Occupational Therapist | Los Angeles, California

Seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to make a difference in a dynamic educational environment near Los Angeles! In this contract position, you’ll provide crucial support for students with a range of needs, from mild/moderate to more extensive, within both elementary and secondary settings. This full-time opportunity offers up to 40 hours per week and begins as soon as possible, continuing until a permanent placement is secured (anticipated through the end of October).

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy license for the state of California
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting
• Proficiency supporting children with diverse physical, sensory, and developmental challenges
• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving student and program requirements

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to elementary (3.5 days/week) and secondary students (1.5 days/week)
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to foster student participation and independence
• Collaborate closely with teachers, aides, and special education staff in developing interventions and accommodations
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district guidelines
• Engage in IEP meetings, supporting students and families with informed recommendations
• Equip classrooms and staff with strategies and tools for carryover of therapy interventions
