Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher at an elementary school, supporting students with diverse learning needs in a resource room setting. This full-time, onsite contract runs from September through February during the 2026/2027 school year, with the possibility of extension through the end of the year. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with staff and families, champion individualized learning, and be a vital advocate for your students’ growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for Washington State.
  • ESA Credential issued by OSPI.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children and managing a diverse caseload preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for fostering inclusivity and nurturing student potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve approximately 30 students in an elementary resource room, delivering personalized instruction and academic support.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and regular reporting.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate inclusive educational practices.
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to address a range of learning needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and structured classroom environment.
