Job Description
Make a real impact supporting student success as a contract physical therapist working in a school-based setting. This assignment will run from August 26, 2026, through June 9, 2027, and focuses on providing targeted physical therapy services to a student with an active IEP. The schedule for this role involves just 30-minute sessions twice a month, offering flexibility and an opportunity to contribute your expertise without a full-time commitment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington Professional Licensure for Physical Therapy
- Current ESA Certification
- Previous experience with PT in educational settings is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills suited to working with students and school teams
- Ability to document progress aligned with IEP requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct 30-minute physical therapy sessions two times each month for a designated student
- Follow and update the student’s IEP with tailored PT interventions
- Collaborate with special education and teaching staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of sessions and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings if requested, providing clear input on student growth
