We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support a range of accounting and finance initiatives in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate brings solid close-process experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt quickly while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving variances promptly.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with the delivery of accurate financial statements.
• Contribute to day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support as needed.
• Partner with stakeholders on special accounting assignments and other ad hoc financial projects.
• Analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Utilize accounting systems and advanced spreadsheet tools to manage financial information efficiently across engagements.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a detail-oriented finance environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and related accounting activities.
• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and other advanced functions.
• Experience supporting full-cycle accounting processes, including AP, AR, and journal entry preparation.
• Familiarity with large-scale ERP platforms such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or PeopleSoft is preferred.
