Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist at an elementary school in the Lillington, NC area. This full-time, contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2027, offering you the chance to develop valuable experience in a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current and active North Carolina SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) also considered
- Previous school-based experience strongly recommended
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, assessment, and interventions with school-aged children
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech/language therapy services to elementary-aged students in individual and small-group settings
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and school administration
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and data tracking
- Participate in IEP meetings and multi-disciplinary team conferences
- Consult with staff and parents regarding strategies for communication success
- Remain onsite throughout contract (no virtual assignments)
