Pharmacist in Charge in Chandler, AZ

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A direct hire opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist in charge to oversee operations in a dynamic pharmacy setting based in Chandler, AZ. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in pharmacy practice, particularly those experienced in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding environments. The position calls for a strong leader who will ensure compliance, quality, and excellent patient care within a 503A facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and provide patient counseling with professionalism.
• Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs, USP <795>/<800>, and FDA 503A regulations.
• Manage inventory, including controlled substances, while overseeing all necessary documentation.
• Address patient inquiries promptly, maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
• Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance across the state and federal levels.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Arizona or New Jersey is required; licenses in CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO, or NJ are highly preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with 3–5 years of pharmacy experience, including mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding settings.
• Previous experience in a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or pharmacy management role is advantageous.
• Knowledgeable about state and federal regulations governing 503A facilities.
• Experience with PioneerRx is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Candidates should be local to the Gilbert, AZ area; relocation assistance is not available.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy expands.
