Job Title: CNC OperatorJob Description

The CNC Operator plays a crucial role in operating computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts efficiently. This position requires loading parts into the machine, cycling the machine, and detecting malfunctions, such as worn or damaged cutting tools, while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all assigned machine shop operations with precision and efficiency.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, adhering to prescribed safety procedures.
  • Regularly conduct milling, turning, drilling, and tapping tasks.
  • Inspect machined products and document the results accurately.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork for parts, ensuring proper documentation.
Essential Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Experience with repetitive work processes.
  • Proficiency in using a digital gauge.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • General labor, mechanical, and manufacturing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Quality control experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment requires wearing steel toe boots and prohibits cell phones on the floor due to safety concerns. The facility is loud, so earplugs are provided as needed. The workplace is clean, with fans available for comfort in warmer months. Shifts are structured: 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:15pm-11:45pm), and 3rd shift (11:30pm-7:15am).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Clemens, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
