Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Illinois Physical Therapy license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience with pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Genuine passion for supporting students with varying physical abilities
- Ability to plan and implement individualized, evidence-based interventions
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct physical therapy services within school settings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to student IEP meetings
- Educate school personnel and families on techniques and accommodations that support student participation in educational activities
- Adapt activities and interventions for a range of physical and developmental needs
