Job Description
An urgent opportunity is available for a part-time pharmacist to support a long-term care facility in the Oklahoma City area. This contract role offers a flexible schedule with 16 to 24 hours per week over an 8 to 13-week duration, providing valuable hands-on experience in a specialized care environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle checks to ensure medication safety and compliance
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriate dosing, drug interactions, and contraindications
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient medication therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold regulatory standards throughout shifts
Schedule:
- Days are flexible within Monday through Friday
- Typical shift: 9 AM to 5 PM, working 2 to 4 days per week
Qualifications:
- Active Oklahoma Pharmacist License is mandatory
- Prior pharmacist experience, particularly in long-term care, highly preferred
- Ability to start immediately and commit to the contract duration
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
