What we’re looking for:
- Valid Tennessee Special Education (TN SPED) certification
- Experience in IEP management and development
- Knowledge of middle school curriculum, modifications, and instructional strategies tailored to students with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, general educators, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Adaptability and organizational skills to manage a robust caseload
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement effective educational programs for students with IEPs
- Develop, update, and manage Individualized Education Plans in coordination with school teams and families
- Deliver direct instruction using evidence-based special education strategies
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions to ensure each learner reaches their goals
- Liaise with other educators, administrators, and related service providers to support student success
- Uphold compliance with state and federal regulations concerning special education
