Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP in New York
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though strong clinical skills from other environments will be considered
- Ability to develop and implement personalized therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and comprehensive evaluations for students
- Develop IEP goals and deliver evidence-based speech therapy services to individuals and small groups
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Monitor, document, and report student performance and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing clear input and recommendations for student care
- Stay current on best practices and compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
