Duct Installer
Job Description
This role focuses on installing round and square ductwork on commercial construction projects, including apartment complexes and various commercial buildings within approximately one hour of Cleveland. You will work a daytime schedule, collaborate closely with a field team, and contribute to high-quality HVAC installations in new construction environments.
Responsibilities- Install round and square ductwork in new construction commercial projects, including apartment complexes and other commercial buildings.
- Follow directions to run ductwork in framed or roughed-in rooms, ensuring proper routing and secure connections.
- Use basic blueprints or layout instructions, when provided, to understand duct paths and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, align, and assemble duct components using appropriate tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches.
- Ensure all duct installations meet quality, safety, and project standards in accordance with site requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members on-site and assist with additional tasks as needed to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely.
- Travel to job sites within approximately a one-hour radius of Cleveland as assigned and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots and other provided gear.
- Prior experience installing round and/or square ductwork in new construction environments.
- Ability to install ductwork in framed or roughed-in rooms based on verbal direction and layout guidance.
- Capability to work on commercial construction projects, including apartment complexes and various commercial buildings.
- Reliable transportation to travel to job sites within approximately one hour of Cleveland.
- Ability to use basic hand tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches safely and accurately.
- Willingness to work as a team player and assist with whatever is needed to complete the job.
- Ability to work the scheduled hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute morning break.
- Experience reading basic blueprints or construction drawings is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and duct installation practices in commercial construction settings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and use PPE consistently.
- Comfort working in a variety of commercial construction environments and adapting to changing site conditions.

The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch and a 15-minute morning break. The role is field-based and requires travel to different job sites as assigned. You will use tools such as tape measures, levels, and wrenches, and you will work around active construction activities. The dress code includes steel-toe boots and jeans, and safety gear such as safety vests, hard hats, and high-visibility apparel is provided as needed. The environment is team-oriented, with a focus on safety, productivity, and completing projects to a high standard.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medina, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
