Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity exists for a licensed pharmacist to assume a working Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role within a growing non-sterile compounding mail-order pharmacy. This position is based in either Gilbert, AZ, or West Egg Township/Galloway, NJ, supporting pharmacy operations with a focus on expanding national coverage. The role requires hands-on involvement in dispensing, patient counseling, staff supervision, and strict regulatory compliance aligned with 503A facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions and provide thorough patient counseling.
- Supervise pharmacy staff while maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), USP <795>/<800>, and FDA 503A compliance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain essential documentation.
- Address patient inquiries promptly, ensuring superior customer service.
- Uphold regulatory compliance across the states served by the pharmacy.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current pharmacist license in Arizona or New Jersey, corresponding to the position location.
- 3–5 years of pharmacy experience.
- Strong preference for experience in mail-order, outpatient, community, or compounding pharmacy settings.
- Comfortable working as a hands-on PIC with supervision and leadership responsibilities.
- In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations relevant to a 503A compounding facility.
- Previous PIC or pharmacy management experience is preferred.
- PioneerRx software experience is a plus, though training will be provided.
- Licenses from additional states on the West Coast (CA, NM, TX, NV, UT, OR, WA, CO) are highly desirable to support national expansion efforts.
- Local candidates preferred; relocation has not been discussed or approved.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage may be required as the pharmacy grows.
