School Psychologist – Spokane, WA
Location: Spokane, WA
Assignment Dates: 08/26/2026 – 06/17/2027
Schedule: 35 working hours/week
Setting: Elementary or High School
Position Overview
We are seeking a School Psychologist to support a school district in Spokane, WA for the 2026–2027 school year. The selected candidate will be assigned to either an elementary school or a high school.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 50–60 evaluations annually.
- Serve as the assessment coordinator for the assigned school/campus.
- Manage an elementary or high school caseload based on placement.
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), Academic Intervention Plans (AIPs), and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) as foundations for instructional and behavioral strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and evaluation documentation for the special education team.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families to support student needs.
- Provide services primarily within an assigned building/campus. While the position is not itinerant, the candidate may occasionally support multiple buildings if they are part of the same campus.
Requirements
- ESA certification in School Psychology in the state of Washington.
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist or in a closely related role within a public school setting preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check.
- Strong evaluation, assessment, documentation, and collaboration skills.
