Based in a welcoming educational environment near Dekalb, IL, this full-time opportunity spans 37.5 hours per week, offering engagement with a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through high school. The position is set to begin as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year (May 27, 2027), providing you with the chance to make a sustained impact on student development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children (K-12) is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy interventions
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Effective communication and documentation skills
  • Willingness to adapt to varying student needs and school settings

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services tailored to student goals and IEP requirements
  • Conduct assessments to identify student mobility and motor skill challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with educational staff
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Guide teachers and parents on exercises, strategies, and adaptive techniques
