School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Ione, California
Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant supporting school-aged students in a dynamic educational environment near Ione, CA. Work onsite in a collaborative setting, delivering high-quality speech and language services under the guidance of experienced, licensed Speech-Language Pathologists. You’ll empower students by helping them overcome communication challenges and develop essential skills for both academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related field, or an AAS degree from an SLPA program
- Active SLPA license or certification
- Strong proficiency in oral, written, and interpersonal communication, including during high-stress or crisis situations
- Flexibility to travel between school locations during the school day, as needed
- Prior school-based experience is ideal but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and indirect speech-language services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with licensed SLPs for supervision, support, and professional growth
- Engage with students, parents, and staff to ensure clear communication and cohesive support
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all compliance standards
