Sr Inventory Specialist / Pay Rate: $36/hr

Title: Sr Inventory Specialist

Location: Whitsett, NC, 27377

Pay rate: $36/hr on W2.

Job description:

• This position is in a fast paced and challenging environment.
• Ideal candidates will work with minimal direct supervision and will concurrently handle and prioritize many responsibilities.
• This position will report directly to the Logistics Manager.

Key Primary responsibilities are:

• Ensure 3PL maintains a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Ensure 3PL unload, check, and store incoming merchandise according to company procedures
• Inspect shipments for damage or defects and report any discrepancies
• Keep accurate records of received merchandise using computerized inventory systems; validate that provider has clear records of inbound and outbound shipments
• Ensure providers pick and prepare orders for delivery to manufacturing, shipping, and ensuring accuracy, timeliness and excellent product quality always
• Ensure 3PL restock shelves as needed and maintain part levels of stock
• Validate with Supplier daily High-Value inventory accuracy
• Assist in training of internal inventory analyst, 3PL providers and other staff as needed
• Coordinate with purchasing department to resolve purchase order issues
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to received merchandise
• Prepare reports on delivery, receiving and inventory activities as needed
• Support Manufacturing (work in progress) WIP inventory analyst
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Aids in cycle-counting and annual inventory audits regularly

Background Required:

• Proven track record in warehouse receiving operations (4 years’ experience)
• Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc...)
• Metrics measurements (i.e. delivery, costs, quality audits, exceeding all internal KPI metrics)
• Continuous Improvement Quality process (i.e. Lean Mfg, Six Sigma, ISO, internal initiatives)
• Safety Program compliance (OSHA, DOT, and state and local agencies)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for long periods of time
• Forklift Certification & Licenses
• Strong Inventory Control skills – tracking and maintaining supply
• Organization skills that will improve efficiency
• Proven competencies in (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, MS Office)
• Education: BS or BA degree or equivalent experience in Logistic Operations.
• Electronics manufacturing or Distribution background required, 3PL experience preferred.
• Analytical skills to evaluate, report, select and implement cost-effective, distribution operations.
