Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services for K-3rd grade students based on their IEPs and individual needs.
  • Address fine and gross motor skill development, tailoring strategies to each student.
  • Monitor progress towards occupational therapy goals, collecting and maintaining accurate data.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports and other required documentation.
  • Partner with teachers and support staff, providing actionable strategies and classroom recommendations.
  • Present and interpret OT data during IEP meetings to guide decision-making.
  • Ensure all services and documentation are consistent with special education requirements and student IEPs.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active OT or COTA license in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain).
  • School-based OT experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fine and gross motor skills interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
